One of the activities that many of us engaged in during the various lockdowns of the past year is walking. Whether you simply enjoyed a brisk walk around the block each day to clear your head or you dug out the maps and headed out on multi-mile hikes, rediscovering familiar surroundings from a new perspective, you weren’t alone in doing so. The meditative and restorative act of walking, the slower pace that allows for a more immersive observation of the world around us and the chance to take routes we otherwise might not travel inspired our new walking tours.

These itineraries feature gentle walks of up to five miles in length as well as longer hikes on selected days, and they offer a chance to gain an appreciate of the beauty and topography of the destination explored, along with a greater connection to its history.
