Pilgrimages - journeys to sacred places

As always, these tours will be expert-led and they will be centred around pilgrimage trails and related destinations. Though not religious in nature, these journeys tell the fascinating stories of early Christianity and appreciate the majesty of art and architecture inspired by faith. Among our collection for the new year will be four tours, namely Druids to Saints - Wales & its Gods, which explores sites of religious significance in and around Wales that date from the prehistoric to modern day; The Camino de Santiago, which follows one of the famous Camino routes by coach, stopping to explore cities and sites along the way; our Oberammergau & the Way of St. James tour, which traces the famous Bavarian route by coach and discovers an array of cities and significant sites en route; and Rome & Assisi - Centres of Devotion, which explores both cities, positioning them as centres of devotion with regards to where the pilgrims ended up.
