Very good. I had never visited any of the places before as I'm not familiar with that area of London. The lunch experience was good and the meal was very enjoyable.
Excellent varied day with plenty learnt. The handling session and visit to the archives at the Dorchester museum were highlights.
Most enjoyable and informative. We enjoyed the handling session in the museum as well as visiting Maumbury Ring and Maiden Castle.
It was a great tour, interesting and stimulating, one of the best Andante tours I've been on. I now know so much more about prehistoric times and I have a good feel for the time line, which is something I often struggle with and the way archaeology can give us ideas about when there were big changes in societies where there is no written record. Something not mentioned below are the lunch stops - they were excellent, very pleasant hotels where the staff made us so welcome and with delicious food too.
It was an excellent tour. It was well planned and well carried out. Well up to the high standards we expect from Andante.
It was an outstanding discovery of the Neolithic Scotland, thanks to Peter Yeoman and his experience and knowledge of the key sites. His descriptions and analysis of sites goes far beyond reading a history book or viewing the sites on your own. Providing access to current "digs" and meeting key archaeologists add to the tour, making it up to date and exciting.
I had a wonderful time. Orkney was such a magical place. We visited the most amazing places and were fortunate to have great weather.
It was wonderful that, somehow, despite Covid and flight cancellations/chaos at Heathrow, Andante made the tour all come together for us. My overall experience of the tour was good. All places visited were of interest to me. Particular highlights for me were the Passion Play and Mozart's birthplace and the house the Mozart family moved to afterwards.
