Full of learning about decorated caves from an expert who loves his field, and interactions with the other tour members. Delicious food, good hotel, lovely scenery and a comfortable bus helped to make us more comfortable. A dream come true.
Very good indeed. We had an excellent, well-chosen itinerary, and superb staff looking after us. This was the best Andante tour I have taken.
It was tremendously invigorating and interesting. The Tour was well chosen for exploring the ancient culture of the Urartians and the tragic history of the Armenians. Terry's knowledge is impressive. The coach travel over passes into the sparsely inhabited high pastures of the Kurdish herders, was magical. It was fascinating to learn about the current situation on the Turkish border, and Isabelle and Hakan ensured that everything ran smoothly for all participants.
Fascinating, beautiful, full of excellently managed visits, first rate tour guide and leader. If fit enough I would like to do it all over again in spring it has been so life-affirming.
Very good. Everything was well organised, timings were good and we were all kept well informed on a daily basis. Both countries were a delight to visit, and both the local guides were excellent.
Excellent tour that ran very smoothly largely due to our very experienced tour manager, Tina Cresswell. The hotels on the whole were very comfortable and the meals good. A great deal of ground was covered in the tour which I found quite tiring . On the other hand I would not have wished to have missed out any of the sites. Our lecturer, Ian Colvin, was really good with a profound knowledge of the Caucuses.
