As usual on Andante tours, we visited fantastic sites every day, several of which would not have been accessible otherwise. The Hypogeum of the Volumni at Perugia and Domus di Properzio at Assisi were particularly spectacular but there were so many..
I had a wonderful time exploring some fascinating sites, and sites, many of which were spectacular and all of which tied in superbly to an understanding of the Roman Via Flaminia. I really enjoyed visiting “dead” Roman towns, and being able to walk on the surface of a genuine Roman road.
A most enjoyable tour; great experience. Interesting group of like minded people - good company ,both visiting sites and enjoying food throughout the day and evening.
Wonderful! I came home full of energy and enthusiasm for everything I'd seen - Pompeii, the underground theatre, the villa at Oplontis and so much more! Thanks so much, Andante team, for organising such a great holiday, despite all the difficulties of the last two years. Our lecturer was fabulous, our tour manager delightful, and the back office staff did an amazing job to get us there. And so many thoughtful unexpected extras, like the home-made biscuits on the coach. It really was a very special experience.
I was very pleased with the tour. It added a great deal to my experience to have a friendly and efficient tour manager, an approachable and knowledgeable guide lecturer, and to be able to share this experience with a group of like- minded fellow travelers. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Roman sites in Campania.
We saw the balanced mixture of landscape, archaeological sites, monuments, and museums that we had hoped for.
Well cared for, clear itinerary, excellent tour manager, knowledgeable lecturer, pleasant company in the group. Varied and interesting sites - some spectacular visits.
It was of course a great pleasure to get abroad again after the pandemic. I found the Neolithic sites very interesting, in attractive scenery, and enjoyed the meals, and being ina French environment.
